The Vitrine linguistique merges the famous Banque de dépannage linguistique and the Grand dictionnaire terminologique into one free, searchable reference. Since TEF Canada and TCF Canada candidates are usually heading to Canada — often Quebec — it is the most relevant authority you can cite yourself to: it documents standard usage as recommended in Quebec.
What to look up there while you study
- Agreement doubts — type the exact structure (e.g. « accord participe passé pronominal ») for a ruling with examples.
- Anglicisms — check whether a word you borrowed from English (« éventuellement », « application ») means what you think in standard French.
